Love these!!

This was an absolute treat and a great way to introduce someone to Cypress Cove. Would do these again should the opportunity come again in the future.

Loved exploring these scents!

I really enjoyed trying all these scents. The samples arrived 10 days after ordering (including 1 weekend, the New Year holiday, and snow delays). Everything was packaged very neatly and there were no leaks or breaks. I liked some scents more than others. Overall, I found these perfumes to be very high quality. Here are my initial impressions, ranked from most liked to least:
* Small Town Girl - Starts with lavender, followed by a soft lemon with a sweetness that comes out more with the drydown. Very nice and upbeat. I could definitely wear this out and about in my daily routine. Maybe the scent name is fitting, but it makes me think more of the Billy Joel song than Journey.
* A Day In The Vineyard - very nice. I liked this most of all the samples. starts off green, but Did not get much wine from this, and that's ok since I don't care for the heavy/tannic scent of wine (but I love the taste). Drydown is floaty and weirdly synthetic.
* A Day At The Lake - fresh and green with a punch of citrus. I really like this! It's similar to Wine Tour but more vibrant and less chemical. The spray vial was not squeezed shut all the way, but fortunately there were no leaks. I wasn't able to close it (maybe did not have the right tools?) so I transferred the contents to a rollerball.
* A Morning At The B&B - Detecting ambroxan or cetalox? It's floaty but warm. Kind of a skin scent but not salty. A neutral pleasant.
* Shopping The Boutiques - juicy citrus, not specifically lemons. There's a faraway note of pink flowers. Vibe is outgoing and approachable. It's ok.
* Wine Tour - Opens w sharp green cleaning fluid, then warms into something softer, warm and familiar but still green. No wine. Very light bit of wood in the drydown, like an aged but empty barrel. Strong herbal backbone, like natural insect repellent (not citronella though).
* Cashmere Whisper - Starts peppery opening, then shifts into a slightly sweet floral. No musk or cashmere. Powdery drydown. Not for me.

Did I just find my new favorite?

I would like to start by saying that I am somewhat new to perfumes and I am working on identifying notes. I received free samples from Cypress Cove, I picked out every scent except for Shopping at the Boutiques because I’m not a fan of any of those notes. I have tried and worn all of them and I am in love. Wine Tour is beautiful and I will be full sizing asap. The cognac note is just to die for and the perfume as a whole really tells a story. I loved A Day in the Vineyards as well, it feels like Wine Tours older, more mature sister. The other scents were beautiful as well and I can see myself full sizing maybe half of the samples I tried. But overall, Wine Tour has easily became my new everyday scent.

Free Samples

First of all, I’d like to give a big thank you to Cypress Cove for offering free samples! That was such a fun gift to the indie community. My single complaint is that I was given an incorrect sample (Small Town Girl instead of Piney Woods), but strangely enough, Small Town Girl has been my favorite so far. It smells exactly like a lemon bundt cake to me, as I don’t really pick up on the lavender. Not docking a star seeing how Cypress Cove is a new business and was just bombarded with a ton of orders upon opening. All the scents I’ve tried have been long lasting and adequate to good, no scrubbers. Thank you again! <3

Piney Woods

Piney Woods (Pine needle, Fir Balsam, Petrichor, Clary sage, Vetiver). All the notes come through in this one. I particularly liked the clary sage - it lends a very fresh herbal notes (and does not smell like cooking sage). If you like the sound of the notes in this one and want to smell like a forest, this is a safe bet.
