Bergamot –
A popular “top note” in quality fragrances, it is hybrid between orange and lemon – though lime green in color. It is highly aromatic and provides a citrus tang with a unique spicy tone and a waft of floral.
The fruit is harvested at the beginning of the winter season, and the oil is extracted from the rinds.
Bergamot provides a fresh and sunny citrus essence and combines well with spicy and woody notes.
